Pan Macmillan has acquired a new novel by former musician J B Morrison.
Natasha Harding acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, including Canada, to Frank Derrick’s Holiday of a Life Time from Nicola Barr at Greene & Heaton.
Morrison, also known as Jim Bob, is part of Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, who headlined Glastonbury in the 1990s and had four top 10 albums.
Frank Derrick’s Holiday of a Life Time is a sequel to The Extra Ordinary Life of Frank Derrick, Age 81, published by Pan Macmillan in June this year.
“Filled with moments of great sadness, joy and humour Frank Derrick's Holiday of A Life Time reminds us all to make the most of every day and to appreciate those closest to us,” said Pan Macmillan.
Harding said: “Jim is a true wordsmith and can move you from laughter to tears with the turn of a sentence. In Frank Derrick, he has created a character that readers have taken to heart. Everyone knows someone a little bit like Frank, his story is life affirming and has enormous appeal.”
Frank Derrick’s Holiday of a Life Time will be published in summer 2015.
