Pan Mac launches six e-books for Christmas rush

<p>Pan Macmillan has launched a series of six e-books on the iBookstore in time for Christmas purchases, including titles by Jeffrey Archer and Richmal Crompton. </p><p>Two new stories by David Hewson and Kate Kerrigan have been written specifically for the series, titled Short Reads. </p><p>Digital director Sara Lloyd said: &quot;Our Short Reads series is an example of everything that is exciting about digital publishing . . . [It] is a simple but perfectly formed, well-targeted concept, delivered at a key moment in the e-book market&#39;s development.&quot; <br /><br />Marketing director Becky Ikin said: &quot;Our Short Reads provide a great way to experience reading a book for the first time on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. Each Short Read offers fantastic content from our authors at a price and format that we hope will encourage sampling.
