Palin and Atwood head to Emirates

<p>Michael Palin, Margaret Atwood and Bernard Cornwell are among the authors to appear at the 2011 Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, the Middle East&#39;s largest annual literary festival.</p><p>The third annual Emirates Festival takes place from the 8th to the 12th of March next year. Over 100 English- and Arabic-language authors have already signed up to take part, including Marina Lewycka, China Mi&eacute;ville, Tony Parsons, Aminatta Forna, Wole Soyinka, Simon Armitage, Benjamin Zephaniah and children&#39;s laureate Anthony Browne.&nbsp; </p><p>Isobel Abulhoul, festival director, Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, said: &quot;The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature has quickly established itself as one of the major literature festivals in the world and I&rsquo;m delighted we have once again attracted the highest calibre of authors and thinkers from across the region and beyond.&quot;</p><p>For a full line-up, see <a href="http://emirateslitfest.com/" target="_blank">http://emirateslitfest.com/</a>. </p>
