Faber c.e.o. Stephen Page has been made an honorary visiting professor of publishing at City, University of London.
Dr Patrick Brindle, programme director for publishing studies at City, said: “I’m thrilled to have Stephen join us at City. Stephen is an inspiring speaker, and he brings huge publishing experience, intellectual rigour, and also warmth and humanity to all of his contributions to our MA programmes.”
Page said: "I'm delighted to be taking up this position as honorary visiting professor of publishing at City. The professionalising of publishing over the last two decades has owed a lot to MA programmes, and the course at City has a high reputation and has been a great partner for us at Faber. The opportunity to reflect on and discuss the recent history and future of publishing is irresistible, with such a vibrant and international community of students and academics."
In addition to his new role at City, Page also sits on the Creative Industries Council, Apprenticeship Stakeholder Board, and Publishers Association, is chair of Creative Access, and has been a trustee of the Clore Leadership Fellowship and of the Folio Prize.
