OUP Educational and Children’s to handle Australia titles

The educational and children’s rights team at Oxford University Press (OUP) is now handling sales of rights for OUP Australia.

“The decision for OUP Educational and Children’s Rights team to start licensing OUP Australia’s content was made shortly after the Oxford Education division was formed, a move which brought together OUP’s education businesses based in the UK, Africa, and Australia,” said Anne-Marie Hansen, head of rights at OUP.

She added: “Rights for OUP Australia’s list have not been represented before and this seemed a great opportunity to bring its excellent range to a wider market.”

The UK rights team will now sell the licences for educational products such as the Maths Plus series, a maths programme used in schools in Australian primary schools in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

OUP’s rights team will this year sell the Australian list at all the major book fairs, said Hansen.
