Oxford University Press has appointed Casper Grathwohl to the newly created role of senior vice-president, group strategy.
Grathwohl, who is currently vice-president of reference and digital publishing within OUP's global academic division, will move into the new position on 5th October, reporting to c.e.o. Nigel Portwood. He will work at group level and alongside OUP's business units on a range of activities designed to address OUP's strategic agenda.
Grathwohl said: "I am hugely excited about the opportunities provided by this new position. I firmly believe that the focus this role brings to a range of important strategic issues will make a tangible difference to the Press' future."
Portwood said: "Casper has a deep understanding of the Press' activities, as well as an impressive track record of thought leadershop and business development, particularly in digital publishing, which makes him ideal for this role."
