OUP acquires LexisNexis' books

<p>Reed's LexisNexis has sold its academic law list to Oxford University Press. It has ceased to publish law textbooks in favour of developing material for students online.

In the six months to end-June Reed recorded "small declines" in LexisNexis' corporate and academic information markets in the US. Outside North America, "strong revenue growth" was driven by online product, particulary in the UK, continental Europe and South Africa, with online sales up 30%.
