Orion Spring to publish holistic psychologist's 'revolutionary' guide to healing

Orion Spring is publishing a book from clinical psychologist Dr Nicole LePera, promising "a revolutionary approach to healing that harnesses the power of the self to produce lasting change".

LePera is better known on Instagram as @the.holistic.psychologist, where she has nearly three million followers. In How to Do the Work: Recognise Your Patterns, Heal from Your Past + Create Your Self, she will offer both a manifesto for self-healing and an essential guide to creating a more vibrant, authentic, and joyful life, the publisher said.

The synopsis reads that Dr LePera "offers readers the support and tools that will allow them to break free from destructive behaviours to reclaim and re-create their lives. Nothing short of a paradigm shift, this is a celebration of empowerment that will forever change the way we approach mental health and self-care."

The book publishes on 11th March 2021, after publishing director Pippa Wright bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Dado Derviskadic at Folio Literary Management in an exclusive submission.

Dr LePera received traditional training in clinical psychology at Cornell University and The New School of Social Research. Based on her popular Instagram account @the.holistic.psychologist, she has continued to expand her reach through her membership-only learning site. She said of the deal: "It's an honour to release How To Do The Work, complete with all of the tools, practical tips, and latest research around self healing. I've had requests from around the world to create a complete blueprint, and know this will bring powerful transformation to those who commit to doing the work."

Wright said: "Nicole’s methods and tools have been an online phenomenon, resonating with followers all over the world. As a fan of Nicole’s life-changing techniques, I pursued this book with a passion, and it’s a privilege to publish How to do the Work."

HarperWave will publish simultaneously in the US.
