Alan Samson, publisher non-fiction, bought UK and Ireland, European, African, Middle Eastern, Indian and ANZ rights to the book, called The Universal Tone, from Tracy Williams, director of international rights at Little, Brown and Company.
Grammy Award-winning Santana was born in Mexico, and the book is a “testament to his triumph, victory and success”.
Santana’s work includes the album Supernatural, which went 15 times Platinum in the US and has sold more than 25m copies worldwide.
He will share his story, as well as memories of musicians including Miles David, B.B. King, Eric Clapton and Harry Belafonte. Santana will also talk about the people who have influenced his life, such as Cesar Chavez and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
The Universal Tone will be published in hardback costing £20 and e-book costing £10.99 on 6th November.
