Orion's Seven Dials will publish The Hairy Bikers' Everyday Winners in October.
In 2020 Vicky Eribo, publishing director of Seven Dials, acquired world rights as part of a five-book deal announced last year, struck with Amanda Harris, director of publishing at YMU Group.
The Hairy Bikers' Veggie Feasts was published last year. The second title, The Hairy Bikers’ Everyday Winners, will be published as a £22 hardback imprint on 28th October 2021.
“The Hairy Bikers are known and loved for their big flavours, great ingredients and uncomplicated food,” Seven Dials said. “With this book they bring all these elements together to deliver 100 delicious new recipes for everyday cooking at its best. Inspired by a survey that revealed the British public typically have an average of nine dishes that they cook on repeat at home, Si and Dave have gone to their fans and asked what their go-to dishes are. After receiving nearly 5,000 responses, this year they are sharing a collection of mega-satisfying new recipes to elevate these everyday favourites into taste sensations and bring the magic back into the kitchen.”
The book features roasts, curries, pies and puddings among other recipes such as chicken kiev pasta bake, pineapple and rum sticky toffee pudding and cherry and dark chocolate cheesecake.
Eribo said: “Borne out of a desire to bring excitement and creativity back into the kitchen - and make every meal great - Si and Dave have drawn on feedback and ideas from their fans to create 100 amazing new recipes for what we really want to eat, the way we really want to eat it. I feel like this is the book we all need right now and we can’t wait to share it this October.”
Myers said: “We call these our warhorse recipes; the dishes that are always guaranteed to delight, satisfy and be achievable. The ones that are destined to become winners. We listened to the feedback of nearly 5,000 of our readers for this book and have used this to create recipes that are original and exciting. These are dishes that we are confident will become family and everyday classics of the future, but with the addition of the tips, twists and tricks that are the result of nearly 20 years writing cookbooks.”
King said: “Our new cookbook is a real collaboration with fans of the Bikers. It’s been a wonderful experience to find out exactly what people are eating and want to eat. We’ve put the Bikers’ twist on those everyday dishes and brought some new ideas to the table to perk up those creative moments in the kitchen. We hope it becomes an everyday family go-to cookbook.”
The Hairy Bikers have sold 3.5 million books sold for £33.8m according to Nielsen BookScan.
