Sullivan said: "I’ve known Michael for a long time, and admired his gritty thrillers, and dark, sassy writing. A Suitable Lie is a departure from his usual style and even genre, and it blew me away with its raw honesty, emotional heart and stunning, page-turning plot. We are always looking for books that push boundaries and question social mores. This book not only achieved this, but also delivered on everything I’d ever looked for in a thriller – highlighting an important issue, in this case, domestic violence against a man, effortlessly telling an exceptional story that will resonate with anyone who has ever been in a relationship, and offering pure, exciting entertainment. It’s deep, dark and totally wonderful. I can’t wait to publish this."
Malone said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the fantastic list at Orenda. Karen Sullivan is a force for good in the world of publishing and I am so looking forward to working with her’
