Little, Brown Book Group's Orbit has acquired three new books by award-winning science fiction author Charles Stross.
Commissioning editor Bella Pagan bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Caitlin Blasdell at Liza Dawson Associates.
Pagan said: "I couldn't be more delighted by this acquisition. I've been a fan of Charles Stross' work for years. I love his wit and his playful familiarity with an almost-tangible future and it's hugely exciting to know that we can look forward to publishing three new books".
The three books are The Apocalypse Codex, Neptune's Brood and The Lamda Functionary, and they "span the full range of Stross' work—from Lovecraftian horror to space opera to near-future crime" according to the publisher.
Orbit plans to publish from July 2012, with The Apocalypse Codex coming in b-format original. It will be followed by Neptune's Brood in hardback and The Lamda Functionary as a trade paperback.
