Oneworld has bought a memoir by a former employee of one of the private equity firms that was most heavily hit in the 2008 financial crash.
Publisher Novin Doostdar bought world rights directly from author Sebastian Canderle to his book Private Equity's Very Public Distress. The book will be published in November.
Canderle was an employee of Candover and the book will show how it went from being one of the pioneers of the private equity spectrum to one of the 2008 financial crash's most serious victims.
Doostdar said: "This is the only book about the collapse of a buyout fund manager. It gives us insight into how private equity firms operate, with specific examples of buyout transactions and why they succeeded or failed. It's fascinating, shocking story and Sebastien has the insider knowledge to tell it."
