Sally Oliphant is joining Farringdon-based independent publisher Abrams & Chronicle Books as its head of publicity and marketing.
Oliphant’s most recent role was as senior publicist at HarperCollins NonFiction, covering the maternity leave of publicity director Laura Lees. In this role, she worked on campaigns including Amelia Freer’s Eat. Nourish. Glow. and Lorraine Pascale’s How to Be A Better Cook. She has previously worked at Pan Macmillan, Usborne and Icon Books, and as a freelancer.
In her new position, she will work with publicity manager Tina Mories, digital and data senior executive Madeleine Hall and recently appointed publicity assistant Alexandra Vassiliadis, and will report to managing director Douglas Pocock. Upcoming campaigns will include those for Coffee: A Global Journey by Sebastiao Salgado, The Terrible Two by Jory John and Mac Barnett and Andy Goldsworthy: Ephemeral Works: 2004-2014, as well as for books with brands including Grumpy Cat, Harper’s Bazaar, Kate Spade, Marimekko and Peanuts.
Oliphant will begin her new job on 16th April.
