Octopus has signed a four-book deal with baby food brand Ella's Kitchen, with the first book to be published in late April 2013 under the Hamlyn imprint.
Group publishing director Denise Bates bought world rights and the books will be packaged by Harris + Wilson.
The books will feature recipes for parents to cook for their babies, with the first title, Ella's Kitchen Cookbook, including recipes for children aged from one to five years old. It will also include ideas for involving children in the cooking, from colouring in the pages to helping with the preparation.
Bates said: "Ella's Kitchen is a breath of fresh air on the baby and children's food scene. It's a great, innovative brand with huge recognition among parents, and the books will be full of the no-fuss, healthy dishes that have proved to be such a hit with the Ella's Kitchen audience."
