Marvel Comics is releasing a special issue of Spider-Man featuring Barack Obama, reported USA Today. Obama mentioned Spider-Man during his election campaign at events aimed at young children and has admitted that his top two superheroes are Batman and Spider-Man.
When he heard this, Marvel editor in chief Joe Quesada said: "We thought, 'Fantastic! We have a comic-book geek in the White House."
The special issue of Amazing Spider-Man #583—due to be published on 14th January—has five pages of the superhero and Obama teaming up and even features the pair bumping fists. The issue is expected to be an instant sell-out and will retail at speciality US comic stores for $3.99 (£2.65).
