David Nicholls, Graham Norton, Caitlin Moran and Kate Mosse are among the authors who will be in conversation with Clare Balding as part of a “two-day spectacular” organised by Tesco’s e-book service blinkbox Books.
The four shows, taking place at Cadogan Hall in London this October, will “bring readers closer than ever before to some of the UK’s most loved authors”, said blinkbox Books.
The first event, on 23rd October at 2.30pm, will feature The Hairy Bikers and Lorraine Pascal talking about their passion for food, cooking and travel.
That evening, at 7.30pm, Balding will speak to David Nicholls, who has been longlisted for the 2014 Man Booker Prize for his forthcoming novel Us (Hodder & Stoughton), about his previous novels and his television and film work. The second speaker at the same event will be Graham Norton, talking about his new book, The Life and Loves of a He-Devil (also Hodder & Stoughton).
On 4th October at 2.30pm, Balding will talk to Danny Baker about his upcoming autobiography Going Off Alarming: The Autobiography: Vol 2 (Weidenfeld & Nicolson) and to Paul Merton about his autobiography Only When I Laugh (Ebury Press).
The last event, in the evening of 4th October, will feature Caitlin Moran, talking about How to Build a Girl (Ebury Press), and Kate Mosse, talking about The Taxidermist’s Daughter (Orion). blinkbox Books said audience members would be able to expect "candid female chat from the all-girl trio".
Audience members will be able to ask questions of the authors.
Balding said: “Having put pen and soul to paper myself, I can’t wait to share the ups and downs of this experience with the fantastic line-up of guests.
“I am thrilled that blinkbox Books are giving me the opportunity to unite readers with their favourite authors in what I’m sure will be a session of surprises, gasps and laughs.”
Tickets cost £45 for each event, and include hardback copies of the latest releases by each of the two speakers featured, and Balding’s Walking Home: My Family and Other Rambles (Penguin) as an e-book on blinkbox Books.
