Penguin imprint Hamish Hamilton will publish a new short story by Zadie Smith later this year.
The Embassy of Cambodia will be released as an A-format hardback in November 2013, just over a year since her last novel, NW, was released.
Like NW, the story will be set in north-west London, and follows a young African girl who works for a family in a state of near-slavery, and how she spends her limited amount of free time—swimming, going to church and meeting with a young man she encounters there.
The publisher said: “Touching on ideas about injustice, religion and race, it is a masterful short burst of Zadie Smith's characteristic brilliance.”
The book will be released on 7th November, priced at £7.99.
