Severn House Publishers has bought world English language rights to the first in a new crime series by Pauline Rowson, author of the DI Horton marine mystery crime series.
The new book, titled Silent Running, centres around former Royal Marine Commando, Special Boat Services Officer, Art Marvik. After leaving the marines, Marvik unexpectedly finds himself being used as bait to catch a killer whose slaying spree spans the decades.
Edwin Buckhalter, chairman of Severn House, said: “Silent Running has all the hallmarks of a good Rowson novel, the setting and atmosphere, the sailing and boats, interesting characters, and the intricate, complex plot. It is certainly something that will excite her existing fans and bring in new readers.”
Rowson is the author of 13 crime novels, 11 in the DI Andy Horton series. Fatal Catch, the 12th in the DI Andy Horton series, is to be published by Severn House in autumn of 2015.
Severn House will publish Silent Running in hardback in the UK in March 2015 and in the USA in September 2015, when it will also be released as an e-book.
