New Rebus novel from Rankin

New Rebus novel from Rankin

A new Rebus novel by Ian Rankin will be published this autumn.

Orion Fiction m.d. Jon Wood bought UK and Commonwealth rights to Even Dogs in the Wild, Rankin’s 20th Rebus novel, and one other book from Peter Robinson of Rogers, Coleridge & White.

Rankin teased fans on Twitter earlier this year with news of the new novel.

Even Dogs in the Wild sees Detective Inspector Siobhan Clarke investigating the death of a senior lawyer during a robbery. But the case becomes more complex when a note is discovered indicating that this may have been no random attack, and soon local gangster Ger Cafferty receives an identical message, leading Clarke to decide that the recently retired John Rebus may be able to help.

Wood said: “Ian has been at the heart of Orion since the very beginning. His extraordinary talent, incredible hard work and constant generosity of spirit has brought so much to this company. We are delighted that he has chosen to write two more novels for us."

Even Dogs in the Wild will be published in hardback on 5th November 2015.
