Sir Alex Ferguson is to write additional material covering events at Manchester United since his departure for the paperback edition of his autobiography.
My Autobiography, which with its hardback release last year became the best selling sports memoir on record, will be released in paperback on 23rd October.
The edition will be updated to include “reflections on events at Manchester United since his [Ferguson’s] retirement”.
Ferguson handpicked David Moyes as his successor at the club, but Moyes was sacked before the end of the season after a series of disappointing losses.
In the additional material Ferguson will also speak about his teachings at Harvard Business School, a night at the Oscars, and a boat tour around the Hebridies, where he passed unrecognised.
Hodder & Stoughton said: “The extra material adds fresh insights and detail on his final years as United’s manager.
“Both the psychology of management and the detail of football strategy at the top level can be complex matters but no-one has explained them in a more interesting way than Sir Alex does here.”
