New Mark Haddon novel for Cape

<p>Cape has announced the acquisition of what will be one of the most eagerly awaited novels of the year: A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon.

Unlike Haddon's bestselling The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, the new novel is not a "crossover" work but one aimed purely at an adult audience. A Spot of Bother concerns a 57-year-old man settling down to what should be a peaceful retirement but finding his life disintegrating: his wife has an affair, his children face crises, and his health suddenly becomes a worry.
