Way With Words is to stage a new three-day literary festival in Holland Park, London, in May, with author P D James among the line-up, and Google a sponsor of the event.
From 18th to 20th May festival-goers will be able to hear the likes of Penelope Lively, Maureen Lipman, John McCarthy, A S Byatt, Tony Benn and Sophie Dahl speak.
Some high profile BBC presenters will also take the stage, with Jeremy Paxman investigating the effect of the British empire on our lives, Andrew Marr discussing the reign of Elizabeth II as the Jubilee looms and Evan Davis shining a light on the UK’s current economic state.
A spokesman for the festival said: "Some of the UK’s finest living novelists are set to appear at the festival alongside broadcasters, historians, philosophers, fashion and design icons, foodies, actors and politicians in a packed programme."
The festival is also sponsored by Winton Capital, Waterstones and the New Statesman.
