New licensing programme for Ladybird's 100th

Ladybird is celebrating its 2015 centenary with a three-year licensing and consumer products programme.

The new Vintage Ladybird products will launch at the end of this year and include stationery and calendars, made by Portico, as well as wooden postcards from the Wooden Postcard Company.

Penguin’s licensing team is also looking to secure licenses for games, puzzles, crafts, food and beverage products, and homeware.

Susan Bolsover, head of licensing and consumer products at Penguin, said: “The centenary gives us an opportunity to engage with consumers of all ages and celebrate this iconic brand. We’re continuing to lay the groundwork ahead of a really exciting year and are working with a whole host of licensees, retailers and promotional partners on a range of products.”

Penguin will also launch two new titles to celebrate the centenary: Ladybird: A Cover Story and Ladybird by Design.
