The Evening Standard and Foyles have launched a book club and website, offering readers half-price books selected by ES literary editor David Sexton.
The Evening Standard Book Club launched this week with Sexton's selection of the best books of 2007. Additional titles will be added every week. It is accompanied by an interactive website, which allows ES readers to access reviews and comment on the titles. Members of the newspaper's Eros reward card can also buy the books at half price, online or instore from Foyles.
ES originally struck a deal with Foyles when it launched Eros in September, with the bookshop offering 10% discounts to card holders, and half-price offers on selected lists. Foyles promotions manager Julia Kingsford said the book club would "tie the brands closer together".
She added that Foyles was already seeing redemptions of the promotion, and would look to offer more to Eros members in the future, such as special events.
