NBT marks 80th anniversary

National Book Tokens has launched a consumer campaign on Facebook to mark its 80th anniversary, depicting how bookselling has changed over the last eight decades.

The Facebook page includes advertising from wartime Britain, showing previous advertising slogans such as “In this war, books are weapons!” and “Even books are in battle dress”, including the current campaign the Booksellers Associations is running to support the high street.

As part of the campaign, trade materials, targeted online activity and publicity will encourage book lovers to enter a competition to win one of 80 £25 National Book Tokens.
