MUP strikes US deal with Ingram

Manchester University Press has signed a US distribution, sales and marketing agreement with Ingram Academic Services.

Ingram will provide distribution, sales and academic marketing services for MUP in the US, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The Ingram Publisher Services LLC brand says the deal will expand MUP’s market presence and ability to disseminate important scholarship.

MUP c.e.o. Simon Ross said: “Manchester University Press’s growing international impact is further strengthened through our partnership with Ingram Academic Services. Utilising Ingram’s full distribution, sales and marketing services, dedicated to the academic and professional market, we will be able to enhance our service to authors and better understand the needs of our readers and customers.”

MUP is also distributed by NBNi, an Ingram company in the UK and Europe, making this the first global distribution arrangement for Ingram Academic Services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Manchester University Press to our growing family of university press publishers,” said Kurt Hettler, director of Ingram Academic Services. “Our wide distribution network and extensive service offerings will help their scholarly and academic crossover titles find more readers than ever before.”
