Head of Zeus has bought two more novels from Tory MP-turned-saga-writer Nadine Dorries in a “major” six-figure deal.
Senior editor Rosie de Courcy bought world rights from Piers Blofeld at Sheil Land Associates. De Courcy said: “Nadine is one of the most gifted natural storytellers I have ever published. I have loved working with her and look forward to even greater things in the future.”
Dorries, known for her controversial views and appearance on reality TV show “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”, had her first novel, The Four Streets, published in April as part of an initial three-book deal. Her next novel, Hide Her Name, will be published in hardback on 20th November.
The Four Streets has sold over 300,000 copies in hardback, export trade paperback and e-book, said Head of Zeus.
Blofeld said: “Nadine is a writer with a rare gift for connecting with readers and ever since Rosie pre-empted The Four Streets, Head of Zeus has been brilliant at recognising that and building Nadine into the major brand author she deserves to be.”
