Neil Morrison has been appointed as group HR director and Helena Peacock as group legal director for Penguin Random House UK & International.
Morrison held the same role at The Random House Group, while Peacock was Penguin’s HR and legal director.
Morrison will report to both Tom Weldon, c.e.o. of Penguin Random House UK, providing HR direction, strategy and policy development and Ian Hudson, c.e.o. of Penguin Random House International.

Weldon said: “I really want Penguin Random House to be the best place to work in publishing, so nothing is more important than investing in our talented teams. Since joining Random House in 2008, Neil has reinvigorated the strategy around people and teams, putting a real emphasis on learning and development and organisational culture.
"I am delighted that Neil has accepted this role. He is passionate about HR, people and culture and how HR strategy can deliver improved business results and I am excited about the great programmes and initiatives we will be able to deliver.”
Of Peacock, he said: “Helena has worked at Penguin for over twenty years, first as legal director and then as HR and legal director.
"Her contribution has been extraordinary—from leading Penguin's defence in the David Irving libel trial to her critical role in delivering the recent merger. She exudes integrity and fairness, and her work ethic, commitment and sense of decency have been a role model for hundreds of colleagues.”
