Hodder & Stoughton imprint Yellow Kite has bought two more books by Ella Woodward, author of Deliciously Ella, the biggest selling cookbook of 2015 so far.
Publisher Liz Gough bought UK and Commonwealth rights to the new books from Cathryn Summerhayes at WME.
The second book by Woodward will be Deliciously Ella Every Day, and feature more than 100 “easy-to-make, healthy plant-based recipes designed to fit into busy lifestyles”.
Gough said: “A plant-based diet healed Ella when her health hit an all-time low, and transformed her life. Since then, via her blog, her social media and her first book – which has been phenomenally successful – Ella has inspired a healthy eating craze with her easy, accessible recipes. I am thrilled to have acquired her next two cookbooks, and I know Ella’s many fans will be delighted to hear that more books are on their way.”
Woodward said: “I’ve started working on the recipes for book two already and they’re looking pretty delicious.”
Yellow Kite will publish Deliciously Ella Every Day in hardback and e-book in January 2016.
Deliciously Ella has sold 98,976 copies through Nielsen BookScan, more than 25,000 more copies than the second bestselling cookery title of 2015 so far, Davina’s 5 Weeks to Sugar-Free (Orion).
