More Baking for BBC Books

BBC Books is adding to the roster of "Great British Bake Off" titles, with a new July book to accompany the next 10-part series on BBC2.

BBC Books editorial director Muna Reyal bought world rights in the title, The Great British Bake Off: How To Turn Everyday Bakes into Showstoppers by Linda Collister, from Claire Potter at Metrostar. The book will be published as a £20 hardback on 19th July.

The title will include more than 100 recipes for cakes, biscuits, breads, pies, tarts, desserts and puddings, inspired by the programme's "Showstopper Challenge" segment, which is designed to test the contestants' creativity and imagination.

The BBC2 show features Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood as judges, with contestants eliminated every week as their baking skills are put to the test.
