More authors added to YALC lineup

Sally Gardner and Charlie Higson have joined the line-up for the UK's first YA literature convention, YALC.
 
Sally Gardner is the author behind Carnegie medal winner Maggot Moon (Hot Key Books) and Charlie Higson is the author of the Young Bond novels and zombie series The Enemy (Puffin).
 
The other new authors are Will Hill, Meg Rosoff, Holly Black, Jonathan Stroud and Holly Smale. Sally Green, the author behind this year’s hotly anticipated Half Bad (Penguin) and Isobel Harrop are also taking part.
 
The YALC will be held at London's Earls Court in July 2014 and hosted by Malorie Blackman.
 
The convention will bring together YA publishers and host a series of author events including talks, workshops and signings, as well as sales area and aspace for publishers to promote upcoming titles.
 
The previously announced authors taking part are Malorie Blackman, James Dawson, Matt Haig, Derek Landy, Sophie McKenzie, Patrick Ness, Natasha Ngan, Darren Shan and Ruth Warburton.
