Michael Joseph has struck a new two-book deal with Gillian McAllister, author of Everything but the Truth, Anything You Do Say and No Further Questions (Penguin).
The deal was agreed with Clare Wallace at Darley Anderson Literary Agency, for UK and Commonwealth rights.
McAllister, who draws on her experience of having previously worked as a lawyer to write "emotionally-charged psychological suspense with a legal angle", is publishing her fourth novel, The Evidence Against You, with Michael Joseph on 18th April 2019. In the book, a man convicted of murdering his wife tries to persuade his daughter of his innocence.
The two further forthcoming books under the new contract, books five and six, will also be psychological thrillers. No further details have been provided as yet.
Publishing director Maxine Hitchcock said: "Every book from Gillian McAllister is a masterclass in suspense, characterisation and emotion, and she is full of yet more unique and compelling plots for the future. We are delighted to have another two books coming from Gillian and can’t wait for everyone to read them."
