Octopus imprint Mitchell Beazley has scooped an Italian cookbook by Masterchef star Gregg Wallace and his wife Anna.
Octopus Publisher Eleanor Maxfield acquired rights from Rachel Mills during her time at the James Grant Group. Gregg’s Italian Family Cookbook will be published on 30th May at £20.
The couple created their traditional cookbook with a little help from Anna’s Italian parents.
Its synopsis states: “Gregg and Anna share the dishes they have explored, laughed and argued about with their family, from vitello tonnato to orecchiette and crespelle to veal chops, bagna cauda and bowls of vongole. Brought to life through stunning photography in the Tuscan countryside and buzzing food markets, you’ll discover traditional recipes, cooked the authentic Italian way.”
Maxfield said: “Octopus are thrilled to be publishing Gregg doing what he does best – bringing popular food to life in our own homes. Pairing his general energy with this hugely popular cuisine, is a dream come true. Gregg and Anna are sharing a family treasury of delicious recipes that we will all be charmed by.”
Gregg Wallace added: “This book is a collection of recipes of course but for me it’s so much more. From these pages you can hear the voices of my new Italian family. Come in, sit at the kitchen table and discuss food with Anna, Rina, Massimo, Nonna and me. You’ll eat well I promise you.”
