Octopus imprint Mitchell Beazley will publish a second title from London luxury hotel Claridge's, a cocktail book co-authored by the hotel's director of bars Denis Broci and director of mixology Nathan McCarley-O’Neill.
Publisher Stephanie Jackson acquired world rights in all languages in a deal made directly with the hotel.
Claridge’s: The Cocktail Book will be published on 14th October 2021 and is billed as a "bartender’s bible". It will feature more than 500 cocktail recipes from the hotel and will encompass classics from every period in Claridge’s history as well as new inventions.
Jackson commented: "There’s nothing more alluring after all these months of seclusion than the thought of 500 new ways to share something wonderful with friends. Working with the superb team at Claridge’s on a book that sets a new standard in drinks publishing, and creating it at a time when Claridge’s couldn’t be open to the public, has been a pleasure and a privilege – and publication of this stunning cocktail collection will be a real event. If there’s one book that will give cheer this Christmas, it’s this."
Claridge’s said: "We are delighted to work once again with Octopus on Claridge’s: The Cocktail Book. After the success of Claridge’s: The Cookbook we are excited to present some classic Claridge’s cocktail recipes, as well as some new recipes in book form which we hope will be a wonderful addition to the cocktail cabinets of long time Claridge’s guests and some new ones too."
