Mitch Hoffman, previously vice president executive editor at Grand Central Publishing, is set to join New York's Aaron M. Priest Literary Agency as a senior agent.
He will begin in his new position on 30th November.
Hoffman, a 20-year veteran of the publishing industry, has edited and published over 200 books - across both fiction and nonfiction - more than 60 of which were New York Times bestsellers.
Aaron Priest said: “Mitch is a superb and caring editor with great knowledge of all aspects of the publishing business. All of these qualities will serve to make him one of the more significant agents in our profession.”
Prior to joining Grand Central Publishing in 2007, Hoffman held editorial positions at Dutton and Dell Publishing, and began his career as an intern at Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
Long time members of the Priest Agency include agents Lisa Erbach Vance and Lucy Childs, as well as Aaron Priest. Also on the staff are John Richmond, contracts manager and Melissa Edwards, agent.
