Lounge Marketing is kicking off its relaunch as The Empowered Author with a series of expert Q&As.
Founder Sam Missingham, formerly of HarperCollins, invited Curtis Brown c.e.o. Jonny Geller to start the webinar series on 10th September.
Upcoming speakers will include Chocolat (DoubleDay) author Joanne Harris, Midas PR’s Georgina Moore, The Last of the Magpies (Amazon Publishing) author Mark Edwards and The Bookseller editor Philip Jones.
The revamped author services business will retain some of Lounge’s original membership features including discounts and perks from literary companies such as Nielsen, Curtis Brown Creative, The Literary Gift Company, and Kogan Page. Members will also have access to a private Facebook group and receive deep dive newsletters.
Missingham said: “I’m extremely excited about The Empowered Author – and I hope it does exactly what it says on the tin and empowers author with knowledge and skills particularly in marketing, publicity and design. More and more is expected of authors and all of the new blogs, how tos, case studies and best practice on the site should put authors in a strong position for success.”
