The £5,000 Klaus Flugge Prize is awarded to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children’s picture book illustration. As the award returns for its fifth year, the 2020 judges have been named as Grey; Love; Pam Smy of Anglia Ruskin University; Meera Ghanshamdas, bookseller at Moon Lane Ink and children’s book consultant Jake Hope. Julia Eccleshare will chair the judging panel.

She said: "We are delighted to be inviting submissions for the fifth Klaus Flugge Prize. This important award celebrates the work of talented new illustrators and puts children’s book illustration in the spotlight."
