Midnight Sun clocks in at top of the book charts

Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun (Atom) has risen over the yardarm to hit the UK Official Top 50 number one spot, with 62,460 copies sold in its first three days on sale.

The latest Twilight title notched up Meyer's 12th week in the UK overall top spot and her first for a decade, following on from Breaking Dawn in August 2010. It also claims the Children's number one spot, for Meyer's 77th week in the pole.
