Map and travel guide publisher Michelin Editions is closing its UK distribution and sales operation and will use Abrams & Chronicle instead.
The partnership will begin from 1st September, following Michelin Travel Partner's decision to shut its UK-based distribution and sales outfit in order to "streamline operations".
Paul Carril, director general at Michelin Editions, said “We are very excited with this new partnership with Abrams & Chronicle Books in the United Kingdom at a key moment in our international redeployment. I am convinced that working hand in hand with their teams will enable us to profit from the tourism revival that is coming after months of health and economic crisis.”
Inez Munsch, m.d.of Abrams & Chronicle Books, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Michelin to bring their world-renowned array of maps, atlases and travel guides to the UK market. The pandemic has had a significant impact on the travel industry but we’re starting to see increased demand for travel books so I have no doubt we’ll see strong growth for Michelin in the coming months and years”.
Michelin Travel Partner will not be accepting any new orders after 30th June, but its current sales office will remain open until 31st August in order to process credits and payments.
