Michael Joseph is launching a digital campaign to support publication of The Mystery of Mercy Close by Marian Keyes, with the release of an e-book-only short guide to the Walsh family, central characters in Keyes' novels.
The e-book short, Mammy Walsh's A-Z of the Walsh Family by Marian Keyes will be released on 27th August, through Kindle and iTunes, priced £1.99, ahead of the book's release on 13th September. To supplement the e-book special, Keyes has also recorded a video on each of the sisters—Claire, Rachel, Maggie, Helen and Anna—which will be available on women's magazine websites.
The social media marketing campaign will feature the theme of Helen Walsh's "shovel list"—a list of things and people she hates and should be hit with a shovel—which features in the latest book.
Marketing director and paperback publisher Michael Joseph, Elizabeth Smith, said: "A Marian publication is always a highly anticipated event, and after a wait of three years, never more so than for The Mystery of Mercy Close. This will be Marian's first major publication in the new digital environment and we intend to make it a truly global affair starting with the exciting release of Marian's first ever e-book special."
