McSweeney's crosses the Atlantic

<p>Atlantic Books is to become the UK and Commonwealth agent for American publisher McSweeney&#39;s Books this autumn. This is the first time titles from McSweeney&#39;s, founded by writer Dave Eggers, will be available in the UK.</p><p>The deal, which will see Atlantic distribute six McSweeney&#39;s titles a year, was brokered by Scott Moyers of The Wylie Agency in New York and Sarah Chalfont in London. The first title will be Lemony Snicket&#39;s <em>The Latke Who Couldn&#39;t Stop Screaming: A Christmas Story</em>. </p><p>Toby Mundy, Atlantic c.e.o., said: &quot;We have admired McSweeney&#39;s publishing from afar since they began, and everyone here is thrilled that we will now be representing their strange, beautiful fruit. &quot; Penguin UK will continue to distribute the McSweeney&#39;s magazine.</p>
