M&B teams up with Sony on e-reader

<p>Mills &amp; Boon has teamed up with Sony to produce an exclusive e-reader, becoming the first UK publisher to do so.<br /><br />The Mills &amp; Boon Reader Pocket Edition is available in a rose pink finish and comes with three pre-loaded Christmas stories, exclusive to the model, as well as a voucher for 10 further Mills &amp; Boon e-book downloads. The reader is available to buy from Sony centers from today (16th November). It also comes with a leather case with the M&amp;B rose logo embossed on the cover.<br /><br />Tim Cooper, director of direct and digital marketing at Mills &amp; Boon, said: &quot;We&#39;re delighted to be working with Sony and to be the first UK publisher to partner in this way. We&#39;ve already had a fantastic response to Mills &amp; Boon e-books and I&#39;m confident that the Mills &amp; Boon Reader Pocket Edition will encourage many more to enjoy romantic fiction and e-books in general.&quot; <br /><br />Omar Gurnah, category manager for Reader for Sony UK said: &quot;We&#39;ve done our best to offer true fans an amazing opportunity to experience exclusive books and content, and we hope this is the beginning of many collaborations.&quot;<br /><br />The website <a href="http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/news/272278/sony-releases-romance-and-cri... target="_blank">Computer Shopper </a>has also reported that there will be a James Patterson Reader Pocket Edition in time for Christmas. The reader will come pre-loaded with Patterson&#39;s <em>Cross Country</em>, a free download of <em>Worst Case</em>, the new Alex Cross novel not due for publication until January 2010, and a letter from the author.</p>
