Maverick House sells ANZ rights to A Prayer Before Dawn

Maverick House has sold Australia/ New Zealand rights to Billy Moore's A Prayer Before Dawn: A Nightmare in Thailand to a division of Bonnier Publishing Australia, Echo Publishing.

The book explores the true story of one man's journey, from recovering heroin addict in the UK to professional competitor in the martial art of Muay Thai boxing in Thailand, via a stint in the notorious "Bangkok Hilton", the Klong Prem prison.

The deal was done by Maverick House publisher John Mooney. It follows interest from the film community and internationally. Turkish rights have also been sold to Eksik Parça. US/Canadian and World Audio have also been sold. The film adaption of the book will be released worldwide next April following its premiere in Cannes. 

The publisher has also sold Polish rights to Siege at Jadotville: The Irish Army’s Forgotten Battle by Declan Power to Merlin while French language rights in Innocent by Audrey Delaney have been sold to Archipoche.
