Mary Berry’s next book, Love to Cook, will be published by BBC Books in October to accompany her upcoming TV series.

Ebury Press editorial director Lizzy Gray bought world all language rights from Caroline Wood at Felicity Bryan Associates. Love to Cook: 120 Joyful Recipes from My New BBC Two series will be published in October priced at £26.

“In this tie-in to her brand-new BBC Two series, made by Sidney Street, Mary Berry shares over 120 amazing recipes that highlight the unique emotional power of home cooking and enjoying food together,” the blurb reads. “Anyone can cook through Mary's simple confidence-lifting recipes – and by taking you into her kitchen, she'll show you how cooking and sharing good food can make us happier and healthier.

"From Katsu Chicken and Twice Baked Crab Soufflé to Asparagus and Pistachio Salad, and six different flavours of meat and plant-based burgers, every delicious dish in Love to Cook is accompanied by beautiful photography of the finished food, so you know exactly what you're making. Complete with Mary's trademark no-nonsense tips and techniques throughout, Love to Cook will help you see your meals in an entirely new light.”

Berry described the book as “me in a nutshell”. She added: “My cooking is all about sharing what I know and love, teaching and inspiring everyone to enjoy cooking as much as I do. Over the past year many have had unexpected time on their hands at home and have found a love of cooking to be comforting and healing in very difficult times. Love to Cook is all about celebrating just that, with wonderful characters as I travel the British Isles in a quest to meet and share in our passion for food.”

Gray said: “Mary is never happier than in the kitchen. Love to Cook builds on the success of simple comforts to celebrate the joy of creating delicious meals with wonderful, simple ingredients and no-fuss methods. Whether one is cooking for immediate family or others, Mary shows that easy home cooking is good for heart, mind and body.”
