Marshall sets up literary agency with A M Heath

Former Palgrave Macmillan m.d Jaime Marshall is teaming up with A M Heath to launch a new literary agency.

J P Marshall, based in London, will begin business immediately focussing on upmarket non-fiction, and ‘smart thinking’ areas of popular economics, psychology, and business.

Marshall left his role as m.d of Palgrave Macmillan in December 2015 after holding various high profile roles at the company. He has also worked for Pearson and Taylor & Francis.

He said: “There is a real hunger for intelligent, compelling books that give us fresh ways to understand the world. I look forward to developing authors from the global networks I have built over 20 years, and introducing them to great publishers who want to make real impact.”

He added that when he looked around for the right partner, “A M Heath, with its outstanding history, reputation, and network, was the obvious choice”.

Bill Hamilton of A M Heath said: “Jaime is very knowledgeable in the fields of economy, current affairs, and is very well-read…As a former publisher, he knows what it is like from the inside and he has great contacts.”
Marshall can be contacted at or via A M Heath.
