Steve Marshall has been promoted to chief information officer at US-based Ingram Content Group.
Marshall will oversee all IT operations at the distribution company as well as lead Ingram’s overall strategies as a technology services company. He will be based at the firm's headquarters in LaVergne, Tennessee.
Previously vice president of IT services for Ingram, Marshall led technology improvement efforts around standardisation, simplification and systems stability.
Ingram president and c.e.o. Shawn Morin said: “Over the last year, Steve has helped us improve a range of technology processes central to our business. His IT knowledge and expertise coupled with his project management experience will serve Ingram well as we continue to help the publishing industry better leverage technology to drive book sales.”
Aside from Ingram, Marshall has held numerous IT roles across industries such as wholesale/distribution, retail and financial services. In addition, Marshall brings more than 25 years of experience in infrastructure and project management roles. Previously, he served as the vice president of infrastructure at C&S Wholesale Grocers in Keene, New Hampshire, where he was responsible for infrastructure, operations and security.
