Manjit Kumar's book goes to Bloomsbury in 7-way auction with record-breaking China deal

British journalist Manjit Kumar’s group biography of Royal Society scientists has gone to Bloomsbury in a seven-way bidding war, as well as securing the biggest Chinese deal ever signed by Janklow & Nesbit (J&N) with a number of six-figure deals internationally.

Bloomsbury publishing director Alexis Kirschbaum acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to Fellowship of Rivals by Manjit Kumar from Will Francis at Janklow & Nesbit (J&N) in a “closely-fought” seven-publisher auction. It will be published in 2021.
