Mandelson to speak at FT/Goldman Sachs Business Prize

<p>Lord Peter Mandelson, secretary of state for business, innovation and skills, is to be the keynote speaker at this year&rsquo;s <em>Financial Times</em> and Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year Award. The role was confirmed as the 2009 longlist was revealed.<br /><br />The longlist of 15 includes four published by Random House in the UK, plus a title from Random US subsidiary Crown Publishing.<br /><br />The shortlist of six for the award, which is designed to &ldquo;highlight the book that provides the most compelling and enjoyable insight into modern business issues, including management, finance and economics&rdquo;, will be announced on 17th September. The overall winner will be announced at a gala dinner at the Victoria &amp; Albert Museum in London on 29th October.
