Manchester lines up high-profile writers

<p>Neil Gaiman, DBC Pierre and Colm T&oacute;ib&iacute;n are among the writers taking part in the autumn events programme of Manchester&rsquo;s Centre for New Writing, with Martin Amis also hosting two events during the season. </p><p>Events lined up in the centre&#39;s Literature Live series include an evening with Andrew O&#39;Hagan and T&oacute;ib&iacute;n on 13th October, Gaiman on 29th October, Jenny Diski on 10th November and Pierre on 15th December. </p><p>In addition Amis will host two events in his capacity as professor of creative writing at the centre: A night devoted to Philip Larkin on 2nd October with poets James Fenton and John McAuliffe and an event exploring the relationship between literature and science on 1st December. <br /></p>
